Diagnostic Assessments

A psychiatric diagnostic assessment conducted by a Psychiatric MD may include a medical examination, medical history, mental status, other physical examination elements as indicated, and recommendations. The evaluation may include communication with family or other sources, review of prescription use and medication history, and review along with the possibility of ordering laboratory or other diagnostic studies to be conducted.

The collection of this information will help our providers develop a better, more complete understanding of your needs. During the diagnostic assessment, it is important to be honest with yourself and your provider. Your honesty and openness during this discovery process will help lead your care team towards the most efficient treatment plan.
